About Barry

I’m a Berkshire-based photographer specialising in automotive photography and videography, working with leading motoring editorial titles and vehicle manufacturers across the UK and Europe. My career in visual storytelling began at the Kent Institute of Art and Design, where I graduated with a degree in Design.

After university, I worked as a studio assistant, refining my technical expertise and developing a meticulous approach to lighting, composition, and production. I then joined Autocar as a Staff Photographer, creating dynamic imagery for one of the world’s most respected automotive publications.

I later continued my editorial career at CAR magazine under Bauer Media Group, further expanding my experience across high-profile shoots, international locations, and manufacturer collaborations.

Today, I work as a freelance photographer, bringing extensive industry knowledge and creative vision to both editorial and corporate clients. I specialise in all aspects of automotive photography, press packs, launches, while producing compelling visuals that combine technical precision with a strong narrative edge.

Equally at home standing on the side of a freezing hill, in a striking urban environment, or within the controlled setting of a studio, I pride myself on delivering highly professional imagery that captures both the engineering excellence and emotional appeal of every vehicle I photograph.
